Egg Hunt #2 and Easter Celebration

After Egg Hunt #1, Seth, Mom, Grandma and I met up with Dan & Fam at church. Later, everyone went to Mom's for Easter dinner and another egg hunt, with eggs filled with goodies and baskets from Mom. Of course, poor Mark had to work and missed all of the festivities! :(

Egg Hunt #1

When Seth woke up, we had an egg hunt with the eggs we dyed and the easter bunny hid. He also found his basket filled with candy, a USC shirt, a Playmobil man walking a Dalmation, a Tag book and a DVD.

Egg Dying Fun

Seth and Ashley had lots of fun dying Easter eggs. I couldn't help but think about last year, when Dad was there coloring eggs with us. I has sneaked around the corner with some eggs and a white crayon to write names on the eggs. Seth was amazed and wondered how the chickens knew everyone's names. We all had gotten such a kick out of it that I decided to do it again. This year Seth thought the Easter Bunny put the names on the eggs, but he was still impressed.

Zoo Reunion

The other day Seth, Trey and I met up with my dear college friend, Jessica, and her family at the zoo. We hadn't seen each other in over a decade and it was so nice to catch up!

Aaaaaagggghhhhh!

While Dana and Seth were riding down the road, a radio DJ said, "A picture of your booty could be worth a trip to the keys." How do you explain that to a four-year-old?

Wedding Bells

Seth is very interested about his future and one thing that he often asks about is getting married. He often wants to know who will be his wife and guesses who it may be. I told him that he would have to see who he loves and who loves him. He went through a list of girls: "Maybe it will be Calliegh. Maybe it will be Lilly," and so on. I asked him what if they all love him and he has to choose which one to marry. His response: "That (pause) would be really good."

Conversation

M: Seth, it's time to get up and get ready for school.
S: I want to be like owls and bats. Nocturnal.
M: Well ok, but owls and bats don't get to have egg hunts.
S: But raccoons do! They hunt for real eggs!

S: Why did the door open?
M: The wind blew it.
S: You mean the wind blew that big heavy door?
M: Yup.
S: Curious. Very curious.

Sick Day

Stomach bugs are no fun, but Seth and I made the best out of a sick day and played Playmobil safari all afternoon.
