Back to It

After six weeks of convalescing, Mark is headed back to work. He's doing great overall, but I think it will take him a while to build his stamina back up.

Merry Christmas!

Dana, Domingo and Sophia were all in Ohio for Christmas and we finally found a day where everyone was healthy and off work to do exchange gifts. We all made appetizers, gave Sophia her gifts and had our annual Dirty Santa gift exchange. Seth lovet the racetrack he got from the Palos crew!

Charlotte Weekend

We headed up to Charlotte for the weekend and had a great time visiting. Between everyone being sick (Mom has had Pneumonia too - only way worse than ours.) and Mark's surgery, we hadn't seen the fam since Christmas!!! This is the longest I have ever gone without seeing my mom - and probably everyone else too. Dana was in Ohio for Chirstmas so we hadn't seen her since Chase's birthday party in mid December. I was starting to have withdrawl symptoms. Dana and Sophia spent the day Saturday and it was nice to catch up with eeveryine.

Lovey

Seth had a Valentine's party at school. Each child had to bring valentines, a decorated box and a snack to share. We decided to make Oreo pops - which looked a lot easier to make on Pintrest that they actually were. In the end they turned out fine but they required all hands on deck and I put Mark in charge of dipping them in the chocolate. When Seth came home from school we surprised him with a little Lego set and spent a quite Valentine's Day at home.

Malaysia

This month's cultural exchange package was from a family in Malaysia. Seth got some coins, a flag, a paper lantern, some origami and a very detailed letter. We were excited to learn about the culture of Malaysia because it's so similar to China. (Seth is learning Chinese.) I love seeing how he can point out the different countries we have learned about on the globe. Love my smarty britches!
