Beach Boy

We had an awesome time on our spur of the moment trip to Myrtle Beach! We were originally going to Charleston but we waited to book and the hotel rates shot up. We realized that an oceanfront resort on the Grand Strand was the same price as the Super 8 in West Ashley! How can you turn that down? I grew up there but hadn't been in years. I barley even recognized it and in a way it was a bit depressing. It just didn't feel like home anymore. We had fun though!Seth has always been a great traveler and didn't mind the drive.

Chillin' at the hotel.
Of course there was a cold snap and we could barely get on the beach. Luckily there were lots of heated pools including a lazy river, kiddie pool, indoor pool, three hot tub and three regular pools! I didn't think Seth would like the hut tub - boy was I wrong. He LOVED it and kept saying, "Let's get in the hot pool."

Of course, Daddy wanted to check out the Kiss Coffeehouse!

Seth loves Calamari and kept asking for "more squid."

The beach was so cold and windy! We only stayed on it for a few minutes. We walked to the surf and a tiny wave that just barely covered our toes somehow knocked Seth over. He was done! Back to the hot pool for us!

Our old house looks sooo different. It used to be brown with cream trim.

A trip to Myrtle wouldn't be complete with out some amusement rides!

Junior Pilot

Our playgroup went on a fun field trip to the local small craft airport. We had a tour and Seth got to sit in a helicopter. I think he looks like a natural!

Snack Time

I let Seth choose a snack when we were at the Fresh Market and he went for the Banana Split trail mix. It had dried cherries, pineapple and banana, peanuts, chocolate bits and mini marshmallows. Yum!

I'm Bitter!

I'm really angry about getting scammed. I'm trying to let it go but every few days it will creep back into my mind. What is even more frustrating is that the website is still up and running. Every day more and more reports of people being scammed are popping up and these people are free to continue about their "business." This is the e-mail I just sent to their customer service department:

Your a mean one Mr Grinch
You really are a heel
You’re as cuddly as a cactus
Your as charming as an eel
Mr Grinch
You’re a bad banana with a greasy black peel

Your monster Mr Grinch
Your Hearts an empty hole
Your brain is full of spiders
You’ve got garlic in your sole Mr Grinch
I wouldn’t touch you with a
39 and a half Foot pole

You’re a vile one Mr Grinch
You’ve got termites in your smile
You have all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile
Mr Grinch
Given the choice between the both of you I’d take the a seasick crocodile

You’re a foul one Mr Grinch
You’re a nasty wasty skunk
Your heart is full of unwashed socks
Your sole is full of skunk
Mr Grinch

The 3 best words that best describe you, are as follows, and I quote
Stink, Stank, Stunk

You’re a rooter Mr Grinch
You’re the king of sinful sots
Your hearts a dead tomato squashed with mouldy purple spots
Mr Grinch

Your sole is a appalling dump heap
Overflowing with the most disgraceful
Assortment of deplorable rubbish
Imaginable, mangled up in tangled up knots

You nauseate me, Mr Grinch
With a noxious super nos
You’re a crooked jerky jockey and,
you drive a crooked horse
Mr Grinch

You’re a 3 Decker sourkraut and toad stool sandwich
With arsenic sauce!

Leapin' Lizards

We had so much fun meeting up with Olivia, Ella, Emily, Melissa and Elliott. We had lunch at Chic-Fil-A and the cow was there! Olivia jumped right up for a picture but Seth wanted no parts of it! After lunch, we headed over to Leapin' Lizards, where the kids played their hearts out. In the last picture, Seth jumped right into a family photo! We had a great time and can't wait to see everyone again!
