Thursday Thirteen

1/2- Yellow Yarn - My favorite color as a child was yellow. I have a blanket that my Grandma Koontz crocheted out of yellow yarn for me when I was a little girl. It is one of my treasures!

3 - Yellow (again) - Seth's color is bright yellow. When he wears this shade it lights up his whole face.

4 - Mr. Yuck - I have vivid memories of these stickers from childhood.

5 - You Tube - We have seen some great videos on here. We love to watch the laughing babies.

6 - Yesterday - A great Beatles song.

7 - Yellow Submarine - A less great Beatles song.

8 - Years - They seem to be passing by faster and faster.

9 - Young at Heart - Something I always hope to be.

10 - Yell - I try never to do it, but sometimes I slip.

11 - Yahoo - I have had yahoo email for years.

12 - Yankee Candles - I love the lilac!

13 - Yellowstone - I hope to visit it one day.

Moo!

I just love this picture of Seth. He was in the stable area at Seven Oaks Park and he was pretending to be a cow. I snapped this one mid-moo. It makes me smile every time I see it!

Barron's Little Animal Series by Francois Crozat

We love this sweet and charming series that depicts the lives of baby animals. So far we have I am a Little Monkey, I am a Little Dog and I am a Little Elephant. Of course, the monkey is our favorite. Seth loves to get ready to go to sleep as he hears about the monkey learning to peel bananas, playing with his siblings and falling asleep in his mother's arms as he listens to the sounds of the jungle.

Cute Quotes

Here are some funny things Seth has said lately:

As we passed a homeless man in the park, "Look Mom! It's Santa Claus!"

One night, he asked Mark to go lay down with him, "not to sleep - just relax". He insisted several times that they were not there to go to bed - just a little R&R - and then fell fast asleep.

When we were visiting one of his relatives he picked up the broom and started sweeping. He said, "Don't be mad. I am cleaning up. I am going to make you happy!"

One night at bed time, after I told him a story, he said, "That was the perfect story." So sweet!

He is convinced that he is growing a baby in his belly. This week he says, "It's not a boy. It's a baby girl inside my belly button. It's name is Molly."

I don't know if I should repeat this one or not - but I will. Somewhere along the way, he confused chests/breasts with the belly. I think because when he rubs the dog's belly he sees her nipples. He often refers to his chest as his bellies. He''s say, "I have two bellies. One. Two." He will take his toy stethoscope, put it up to someone's chest and say, "I need to listen to your bellies." He has also told several women, "I love your bellies." I hope he doesn't continue to publicly admire "bellies" as he gets older!

In a sweet little quiet voice, he said, "Sometimes Grandma calls me Honey Bunny."

When I was showing him some pictures, he insisted on seeing a picture of "Ariel putting a spider on me." Huh?
