Happy Birthday Aunt Erika!

We hope your day was eggs-tra special!

Thursday Thirteen

1- Judy - My mother-in-law and friend. We are lucky to have her in our family!

2 - Jason - I have had several good friends named Jason. My best Jason was a college friend, my roommate for over five years and is like a brother to me. I could write a book. Really. We sometimes have our ups and downs but he will always be part of my family!

3 - Jump, Little Children - Most people have probably never heard of this band, but they are one of my all-time favorites!

4 - Japanese - One of my favorite cuisines. I love sushi and hibachi.

5 - Jungle Book - Seth loves this movie. He dances about to the elephant march song. I like to call him Mowgli or Man Cub.

6 - Jury Duty - I have been called for jury duty three times, but each time it has been canceled. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

7 - Journal - I have never been able to keep up with a journal, but I am hooked on blogging. It may have something to do with the fact that my handwriting never looked pretty in a journal, but I think my blog is beautiful.

8 - Java - I am a java junkie. I like my coffee strong and often.

9/10 - June & July - Some of the best memories are created in these months.

11 - Jam or Jelly? - Jam!

12 - Jujubes - Papa always loved this candy - almost as much as his tobacco!

13 - Joyful - Everyday, I have something to be joyful about.

I don't want to forget....

Seth's developing little imagination. Every night at bed time he wants to hear a story. The conversation varies a little each time, but there are some basic elements that he insists on each time:

- The story must be about Halleen (Halloween). If I suggest a story about the beach, Red Riding Hood or anything else it is immediately rejected.

- Seth wants to be Dooby-Doo for Halleen. He is going to make his costume. "You want to be Da-fa-ne?" Daddy is Shaggy, Carlee is Velma and Miles is Ped (Fred). We all have to iron our costumes.

- We go to see all of the relatives and Seth tells me what everyone is dressed as. The adults change a bit but Trey is always a baby pumpkin, Ash-a-ley is a pink ballerina and Molly is a purple ballerina.

Funny boy!

Thursday Thirteen

1- How the Heck? - Somehow I skipped H last week. Oops!

2 - Hannon - My maiden name. It is still an odd concept to me that you change your last name when you get married. I was a Hannon all of my life!

3 - Happy - I am happy with my husband, family and life as a whole, even though there are a few changes I'd like to make.

4 - Hannah - A childhood pet - my Cocker Spaniel.

5 - Handy - Mark is very handy and can figure out how almost anything works.

6 - Halloween - Seth's favorite holiday. He talks about "Halleen" all of the time. It must have made a big impression on him.

7 - Home Made - Everything is better when it's home made.

8 - Hibiscus - I love a hibiscus tree but have some how killed three in the last five years. I think I'm done with plants that have to be brought in for the freeze.

9 - Hobby Lobby - One of my favorite stores.

10 - Holocaust Museum - One of the most somber places I have ever been. It is haunting.

11 - Hats - Seth has recently fallen in love with hats!

12 - Honey - I need to find more ways to use honey. Yum!

13 - Hannity - Mark has started listening to his radio show. I hope he doesn't get brainwashed!

Time to Grow!

Yesterday we finally started our garden. We planted green peppers, hot and sweet banana peppers, watermelon, pumpkin, okra, tomatoes, green beans, snow peas, corn, zucchini, squash, dill, basil and rosemary. We did a combination of seeds and plants. This is my first garden so I hope it does well!

Picnic Fun

Seth had a great time at the playgroup picnic on Saturday.

I love how cute he looks in his hat. He puts it on all the time. When I ask him if he wants to wear his beach hat to the store he replies, "No. I want to wear it to the beach!"

Cletus the Fetus

Dana thinks its funny to call the baby Cletus the Fetus and I agree! Here is a pic of her first Ultrasound. We cannot wait to meet the baby formerly known as Cletus in November!

Cuteness Abounds

Seth says so many cute and funny things and I don't want to forget any of them. Here are some of the latest.

When we were in Charlotte last weekend, Mark and I went to run an errand while Mom gave Seth a bath. We inadvertently took his diaper bag with us. Luckily, Molly's bag was still there and she used one of her diapers. A bit later, Mom noticed Seth in a corner being exceptionally quiet and asked him what he was doing. He replied, "Pooping in Molly's diaper."

I tell Seth I love him all the time. He usually says, "I love you too." but sometimes he replies, "You do love me?" or "You don't love me." At first I was taken aback, but then he also said, "You don't love me. I a boy." So I guess he's really not sure what he's saying.

One day we were about to go some where and Seth grabbed his felt pail with some toys in it and slung it over his arm. Then, he grabbed my purse, handed it to me and said, "You got your person. I got my person. Let's go!"

We went to a puppet show at the Richland County Public Library recently, which has an amazing children's library by the way. One of the shows they did was The Three Little Pigs and when they sang "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?", Seth smiled big and exclaimed, "That's Grandma's song!"

Sometimes he just says, "We do have fun." That makes me feel good!

Recently, I ran into Starbucks and got Mark and I each a coffee. Seth was appalled that he didn't get one too and proclaimed, "Dat MY mocha!"

Thursday Thirteen

1- Ice - I'm not a huge ice person, but while i was pregnant I craved crushed ice constantly. I was told it was Pica!

2 - Island - I would love to be on a tropical island with a beverage in a pineapple and the sound of the surf in the background right now!

3 - IQ - I have always been told mine is high. A lot of good it is doing me!

4 - Isley's - A Pittsburgh tradition. If you do not know, I cannot tell you.

5 - Internet - What did we ever do without it?

6 - Irish - I am proud to have an Irish background and hope I get to visit Ireland someday.

7 - It's a boy! - The best thing I have ever heard!

8 - Ibuprofin - Our household uses a lot of this!

9 - Indigo Girls - They top my list of favorite musicians.

10 - Inebriated - I state I am rarely - if ever- in.

11 - Incognito - Such a fun word. Everyone should go incognito from time to time.

12 - Impulse Buy - Something I do too often.

13 - Imagination - I believe that developing Seth's imagination now will be beneficial throughout his entire life in a myriad of way I cannot even begin to discuss in the sentence.

Monkey Boy

The other day, we checked out the Monkey Joe's that just opened in town. Seth had so much fun! He bounced, slid, climbed, played ski ball and drew on a chalkboard wall. This was much more fun than a year ago, when we went to the Monkey Joe's in Charlotte and he had to be carried up the inflatables amidst a sea of screaming, pushing children. We even got to see our friends Brooke and Hunter, although it was hard to get a picture of Seth and Hunter together. They don't stay still very long! I'm sure we will be regulars at the new Monkey Joe's - the nap Seth takes afterward alone is worth the cost of admission!

Easter Eggstravanza!

WARNING: This post contains many photos!

We went to Charlotte for the weekend and Seth is so worn out he will probably sleep for a week. We had so much fun and we took about a million pictures.

Molly spent the night and Seth was so happy to see her.As soon as Seth heard she had arrived and was wearing a hat, he ran to get his hat, yelling, "Molly is here!"
Seth thought it would be "punny" to sit on Papa's head!

We had family movie night and everyone enjoyed Cinderella!
They had to get a good night sleep,so they could go to the Eggstravaganza!
Dana and Peanut joined in the fun.

Who needs Peter Cottontail when you've got Peanut Cottontail?
Seth and Molly bounced,
drew on the sidewalk,
golfed,
made insects fly, got tattoos,
hunted for eggs (Aunt Erika is an eggspert!),
and even met the Easter Bunny!
I do love my boy!
Too cute!
Marky got tired and needed a nap with his bunny!
Dad thought it would be funny to gross out Grandma with some bobble head armadillos!
He also thought it would be a good idea to hook the wagon to the lawn mower with a bungee and give rides. He didn't have any takers but still had fun!

We went to Heath, Michelle, Tyler and Ashley's for a cook out and another egg hunt.
Dan got off work early! Grandma Bozurich is heading back to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, so everyone was glad to see her before she leaves.
Mom, Seth and Aunt Sandy colored Easter eggs while Mark and I ran an errand.
The next morning the Easter Bunny had hid them and we had ANOTHER egg hunt.
Seth found his basket too!
He got candy, stuffed animals, a Curious George shirt, a thermos, a book and even his own digital camera!
The Easter Bunny must have come to our house early, because a few weeks ago Seth found his Scooby-Doo Crocs!
Seth looked so cute in his Easter outfit and Uncle Mingo donned his Steelers - I mean "Blue" and Gold shirt! ;)
We had a big family dinner, a fourth and final egg hunt
and more baskets.
It was a great Easter!
Thanks Mom and Dad for always making our visits so special! You are good eggs!
